Stages

image-20240604-144642.png

Technologies go through stages for installation, use, and potential reuse. Each stage has its associated costs and demands. You'll define which stages each technology can be in. Technologies can be installed at the start and reused or salvaged at the end of a stage. The design and operation stay the same within a stage. This allows optimization of long-term projects with multiple phases of investments. For parameters, see the Stages Parameters section.

Note: Sympheny uses real discount rate, convert the total cost (represented by the net present value) into an annual cost. For additional information, see Real Discount Rate.
