Currency

The currency visible in cost parameters and results. When selecting a currency other than CHF, an Exchange Rate from CHF is applied to all economic data in the technology databases. All economic data in the databases are in CHF, including the user-defined data. For additional information, see the General Parameters section.

Cost data converted to the new currency:

All cost data saved within the technology database (both Sympheny and user-defined databases).

Cost data not converted to the new currency:

All data already entered within a scenario (e.g., import costs, demand sale prices). This includes the cost data of a technology candidate already entered within the scenario.

Economic data already included in the scenario is not converted; only the economic data inside databases is converted.

Stages

Include the scenario's stages, along with the corresponding durations and economic parameters. For additional information, see the Stages section.

The stages are arranged in the order of entry. This is necessary to determine which technologies can be reused and to accurately calculate the discount rates.
